Ball Bounce

Its a ball bounce. Like you've never seen that before. In hindsight, I should've done something more special with it, but what the hey.

The point wasn't so much to animate the ball, but to find a better way of animating the ball. What I normally would do is thumbnail everything, rough out the ball, then ink over it, then color it. BHLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! (As an aside, props to those of you who don't get bored or go insane doing inking, cleanup and color for animation. I have no problem admitting I have neither the patience or the mental fortitude to do such work as a profession. You, by implication, do, and you are awesome for it.)

Instead, I just made the ball a symbol, and squashed, stretched, and distorted it for every frame. Even for the roll at the end. Sure I could have tweened it, but I like to keep as much control in my hands as possible, rather than the computer. For me, its about getting to the point where I'm working smarter, not just harder.
